AI, designed to support artists — not replace them.
Why pAInter exists.
Cheri Ho
Artist & Founder
pAInter was started by Cheri Ho, an artist who has watched AI image generators learn from artwork that was never offered up for that purpose — scraped from portfolios and social media without the artist's knowledge, credit, or consent.
As an artist, that felt like a problem worth solving rather than avoiding. pAInter started as a simple question: what would AI image generation look like if artists were asked first — and paid when their style was used?
That question became a platform where artists choose to participate, set the terms for how their style can be used, and earn from every generation made from their artist-approved model.
AI image generation grew faster than artist consent did.
Most AI image models are trained on huge datasets scraped from the internet — including the work of working artists who were never asked, credited, or paid. Once a style is absorbed into a model, anyone can generate "in the style of" that artist, with no way to trace it back, no consent on record, and no payout.
For artists, that makes AI feel like a threat instead of a tool. For creators who want to use AI responsibly, there's been no easy way to know where a model's style actually came from.
The tools to track consent finally exist.
AI image generation is becoming part of everyday creative work — for students, indie studios, marketers, and hobbyists alike. At the same time, it's now possible to create artist-specific LoRA adaptations from artwork the artist selects and approves, track exactly how often that model is used, and attach a consent receipt to every output.
That combination — accessible AI generation plus per-model consent and payout tracking — is what makes an artist-first approach possible now, instead of just a nice idea.
Make creative AI include artists — not remove them.
pAInter exists to make creative AI include artists—not remove them. We connect consent-based generation with compensation and new paths to paid human collaboration.
A creative ecosystem where artists and AI grow together.
We want a future where artists are early collaborators and stakeholders in AI generation — not just the source material for it. pAInter is a step toward AI tools that creators can use with a clear conscience, and that artists can opt into on their own terms.
pAInter helps AI generation lead back to artist visibility, control, and paid creative work — through consent-based models, clear licensing, and Co-Create, a workflow that turns a generated idea into a direct commission with the artist behind the model.
What guides how we build.
Consent
Nothing is used to train a model unless the artist who made it has agreed to it.
Transparency
Every generation comes with a consent receipt — what model was used, under what license, and what the artist earns.
Artist control
Artists decide what gets uploaded, what licenses are offered, and what their model can and can't be used for.
Fair compensation
When a model is used, the artist behind it earns from that usage — tracked automatically, not promised vaguely.
Creative empowerment
AI generation should expand what artists and creators can make together, not replace the people doing the making.
Responsible AI
Restricted categories, verification, and review are built in from the start — not added after something goes wrong.
